 Überzeitung is a project-group from Prilep, a town in Macedonia. Because of the annoying apathy of the Prilep citizens, few individuals united their minds and started to work on the idea of changing the culture and the criteria in the town.   Uberzeitung is not a standard music band of 4-5 who figure as members.  The main idea is all creative people to get together and do something progressive.  And that is why Uberzeitung incorporates a wide range of people.  The creativeness is routed into the making of music.  We are not a commercial band; we are guided only by our creative and broad-minded thoughts. 

Because a lot of people would ask “what the hell are these weirdoes playing?," we will try to generalize our music.  Some of our projects involve different styles of music.  Firstly, it is the electronic noise, experimental ruralistic music...  The second project is creating an electronic music, mostly minimal - experimental - trancey - house with a touch of noise and there are some other experiments within the ww music. 

Überzeitung Society has organized a great number of electronic music parties and concerts in Prilep, including music acts by people (not to specify them only as DJ's) eclectically oriented.

”Over the Walls of Nationalism and War” (7"EP) vinyl compilation (against the war in Ex- Yugoslavia) released on Humanita nova, Croatia 1996.

LIVE ACTS:
We try to be less standardized, so almost all of our concerts are big performances.  We held concerts in Macedonia, and we planned to make a tour in Ex-Yu, but unfortunately, the tour didn’t work due to technical reasons.  Also, there were few installation performances in our hometown.  

MEDIA:
Independent Fanzine about underground music, including interviews with different bands from all around the world called "Factory Smog is a Sign of Progress." - Radio shows on several radio stations presenting fresh music from all around the globe. - Uberdesign is a project about design and multimedia.  There is a sector called Uberfashion which is the youngest child of the Uber-society.
