Biography:
At the beginning of 1995 he made his first contact
with the electronic music through Jungle and some
similar styles.
In 1998 along with few other DJs, a promoting and DJ
organization Firehouse Crew was formed. Guided by
successful synthesis of the Techno and the style he
plays, they organize a serial parties named as "Drum
and Bass Vs Techno". He also started working as a
radio DJ in Firehouse Crew show on NOMA Radio Station.
He was working as a resident DJ in all major clubs and
festivals in Skopje and Macedonia and as part of his
performances he shared the decks with Ed 209
(Austria), DJ Midlow (Hungary), DJ Empress (New York),
Roni Size (UK) and MC Tali (NZ), DJ Spice (UK), Paul B
(Russia). He also played abroad in Hungary, The Drum
and Bass Seminar in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
and Exit Noise Summer Festival 2004 (Serbia and
Montenegro).
From 20.11.2002 till 03.12.2002 in competition of 1600
DJs and producers he was chosen to take part at one of
the most famous music academies, The Fifth Red Bull
Music Academy in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He played several
times at the most underground club in Sao Paulo, Susi
in Trance. On 01.12.2002 along with DJ Tukatz (UK) and
MC RaggaMuffin WhiteMan (Belgium) played at the main
drum and bass stage at the one of the biggest
festivals in Brazil, MegaVonts. After his excellent
performance he was noticed by the journalist from The
Knowledge Magazine and got an offer for an interview.
He also gave several interviews for MTV-Ireland and
played in live for John Powers radio show 626 on 2FM
radio (Irish version of BBC Radio One).
With this, Darko Stepic is the first and the only
Macedonian DJ who took part of the Red Bull Music
Academy and showed his love and passion to the music
on the South American Continent.
At the moment he works as a radio DJ on the only drum
and bass radio show in Macedonia on Kanal 103 Radio
Station.

VASKO NETKOVSKI a.k.a. VASO

Born: 09.06.1974

Biography:
He grew up influenced by all kinds of music styles,
mainly stuff that his older sister listened to. After
buying LL Cool J's album "Bigger and Deffer" he
discovered a new, different style of music - Hip Hop.
After finishing high school he met the guys from the
legendary Macedonian Hip Hop formation Chista Okolina
and became a member of their supportive crew. In the
middle of the 90s he also started collecting music
from few more styles that in those days were
considered as "underground" (Trip Hop, Break Beat,
Drum and Bass) and started playing music in some
smaller clubs. Provoked by Eddie Amador's "House
Music" he started listening to House and it become one
of the various music styles that he played. After
meeting DJs Pass-N-G-R and Dejan Tevdo he got inspired
by their work and House become the style that he
focused on. In 1999 he started playing in the newly
opened club Mayday where he met the members of
Firehouse Crew. After playing together for almost a
year, he was offered to be their member, and so he
did. Occasionally he was helping running the Firehouse
Crew Show on NOMA radio. Later that year his style
changed from House to Techno and found this music
style as the one that satisfies him completely. Ever
since, he plays Hard Edged, yet Funky and Tribal
Techno with heavy doses of experimenting and
innovating.
Today, only he and Darko Stepic are active DJs in
Firehouse Crew from the original 7-members-DJ-crew. In
the past year, quite a few of his bookings were side
to side with Pass-N-G-R, Nikola Rizov, Dejan Tevdo,
Goran Kan, Aleksandar Vidinovski, Maci and Aleksandar
Tanchevski, also high quality DJs from Macedonia. In
2004 he joined the project named "Bang Box" founded by
Nikola Rizov with one goal - promoting Macedonian
talented DJs around Macedonia.
He has played or was a resident DJ in many clubs and
festivals in Macedonia, and few times in Bulgaria
(club Graifer - Sofia, club Comics - Varna) and Bosnia
and Hercegovina (club Atlantic - Doboj, club Music
Hall - Banja Luka).
In his short, yet effective career, he has played with

Hawtin (Canada), John Acquaviva (Canada), Gaetano
Parisio (Italy), Marco Carola (Italy), Danilo Vigorito

(Austria), Midlow (Hungary), Erka (Hungary), DJ
