ARTIST BIO:
After being a radio/club DJ for over a decade, DJ M-ILL decided it's time to
start working on his own music. He began making music in 1997 under the name
Ex Sauce Ted and put out the first two tracks "Kids On Chelsea"
and "Friends", which had great response from the electronic
Internet community and some indie oriented media. Two years later, he
decided to change the name to Tripnotic and went into serious creation of
head-nodding trippy tunes. In a very short period of time, Tripnotic was
recognized as one of the most promising new acts on the electronic scene as
well as one of the most inventive remixers of our time. The first album
"Broken Aesthetics" was released, following the success of the
singles "Perverse Pleasure", "Tripnofunk",
"Revolution:Difficult", "Metal Patrol",
"UltraFUNKular", "Moments B4" and "No Turn On
Red" . Never insisting on a specific genre and always using unique
methods of style-blending to express his visions, he gained a huge army of
devoted fans.
REVISION:
Tripnotic’s breakthrough on the international scene - THEIR SONG WILL BE
USED IN THE UPCOMING "MATRIX REVISITED"
The song “Tripnofunk” by the Macedonian electronic project Tripnotic was
used in the upcoming Warner Bros. feature length documentary “The Matrix
Revisited”. It’s a two hour long documentary dedicated to the making of
the cult movie “The Matrix” and includes new interviews with the cast
and crew members as well as exclusive unreleased shots. The movie’s
producer Eric Matthies and the director Josh Oreck, known for their previous
work with Beck, Nine Inch Nails, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Air, Daft Punk,
Aerosmith and Will Smith, were very satisfied with the professionalism and
modern sound of Tripnotic. “The Matrix Revisited” will be released on
the US market on DVD and video tape in November.
This wasn’t the only Tripnotic engagement on the international scene. Two
months ago he collaborated with the US label Jungle Voodoo and remixed one
of their releases (Sharee – “Warrior”). Currently he’s working on
the remix of the latest release by the best German drum’n’bass label
Santorin Records.
Coming in the following months will be several Tripnotic releases for
various labels, including one for the famous US independent label Stray
Records, and by the end of the year he’ll start working on a new
soundtrack for a Holywood film project.
Along with producing, DJ M-ILL, who is the main creative force behind the
project Tripnotic, is building his DJ portfolio. After countless gigs at
home and abroad and intensive contacts with some of the most influential
people on the global DJ scene, the Macedonian DJ was accepted as an
“approved chart returner” of the world’s biggest DJ association DMC
World. This means that his weekly DJ chart is regularly distributed to the
biggest labels, media and promoters, which makes him an integral part of the
world’s hit creating machinery. Only less than 50 of all 3000 members of
DMC World have the “approved chart returner” status. His international
bookings are handled by the distinguished British DJ agency Abduction DJs.
