Progressive Multimedia Group (PMG) Collective
involves some ten permanent members and friends. There are DJs, writers, painters,
comic book artists, theater directors, actors, and other kinds of all-doers.
Our common ground is deeply emotional and intellectual interest in music;
open, forward thinking progress trip; a chance for creating beautiful microcosms of our
own and help our civilization grow better. A this point, the basic thing for us, is
organizing parties. Five of us are DJs at the moment (at different levels of
experience). B.P. has a greater experience (played in Belgrade, Yugoslavia several
times with success). We are organizing parties 2-3 times a week at different
clubs in Skopje in the last five years. Our aim is to spread music interests
ultra-wide and we play massive eclectic sets or practically any kind of music. PMG
organizes greater events once or twice a month, which is an opportunity to promote guest
DJs from UK, Greece, Yugoslavia, Slovenia, Bulgaria,...
Sometimes we manage to do parties with greater DJ names like: Danny Briottet (ex-Renegade
Soundwave) - a good friend of ours who visits Macedonia 5-6 times a year; Athletico
Association from UK via Alex Sparrow; Robert De La Gaultier... B.P. and DJ E-m@le
(ex-PMG member) have played with Moby, Mark E.G. and many other guest DJs. PMG are also
organizing festivals, to present local music talents - people who make modern music in
Macedonia. So far we organized three festivals where we presented eight Macedonian
bands. More than five years now, B.P. is running three radio shows on KANAL 103 (the only
underground music radio station in Skopje which broadcasts quality music). The most
popular PMG show at the moment is “PMG DANCE 20” every Wednesday from
16:00 to 20:00 and it brings Top 20 tunes by our choice. It is fun. Everything is
moving slowly - so are we. It is slow, but we are very convinced in what we
are doing and we are enjoying it.
Future? The future is: to work more, expand, become better and wiser; to organize
bigger events; make an art exhibition, movie too, to play good music more, to laugh even
more and see the world...change the world as much as we can...
