His first appearance at the famous house temple "Roxy" in
Amsterdam was in 1988. Later on, Dimitri became a leading house DJ in Holland and in
1991 he started playing in Ibiza too. By that time, hee mixed his first
CD-compilation for the Amsterdam label "Go Bang" a
nd started his own label
"Be.S.T. " (Beautiful Soul Techno). Be.S.T released tracks like : Alice D. in
Wonderland "Time Problem." After Dimitri's second record with the song
"Given Flowers For You" his label became an even bigger success. In
December 1992 Dimitri started his own record shop and new label "Outland
Records." 1994 is famous for his disco hitsl like "Disco Train" and
"Fluid Harmony" as well as remixes of the Chanelle hit "Work that
Body" and "Romy Luna." In 1995, Dimitri became resident at the UK club
"Renaissance" together with John Digweed & Sasha. He played in: K-Ministry
of Sound, Club UK, Renaissance, Hacienda, Lost and Drum Club, Pure, Arches and many many more. Over the past few years Dimitri has played
with many big names from the dance scene: Jeremy Healy, Carl Cox, Laurant Garnier, Justin
Robertson, Sasha, John Digweed, Boy George, Dave Angel, Derrick Carter, Tony Humphries,
Masters at Work, Kevin Saunderson, Ralph, Ricky Montinari, Kenny Larkin, Lenny Dee, Blake
Baxter, Frankie Bones, Super DJ D'mitri, Jon Pleased Wimmin, Robert Owens, Mark Lewis and
many more...He is at the same time deejay, writer and producer. While playing, he
goes by the moment. Even if a certain mix of two records worked really well on a
particular evening, he will not try to do that again some other time. So his style
is the style of the moment, and that can be a very broad spectrum.
